More Self Promotion

I've been really busy with work and writing the last couple of weeks, so things are crawling here in the blogging world. I hope to get the blog officially designed and active in the next few days.

Doesn't everybody hate poetry?

It's National Poetry Month, I'm happy that many people are embracing and celebrating their inner poet. The world could do with more poetry. More good poetry, I should say. I'm especially excited that schools are involved in National Poetry Month, I can only remember a handful of times that we studied poems/poetry in school when I was growing up.

Usually when I'm stuck on a project, I will work on another task until inspiration hits. Something I hate doing or that I have been putting off for a while.

In honor of National Poetry Month, I wanted to acknowledge one of the great poets. Emily Dickinson. She is probably my favorite poet of all time. I have loved her work since I was very young and discovered the world of poetry.

National Poetry Month - The Pretender

In honor of National Poetry month, I decided to pull out one of my earliest poems, that I can find, and dust it off to post. This is from my teenage years, around 15 years ago, and was honorably mentioned in a poetry contest that I entered.
